I think some of the early artistic influences for me, growing up, were the illustrations in Dr. Seuss books, Sunday comics and trips to the Louvre in Paris and El Prado in Madrid -perhaps, to a lesser degree, art on the walls at home. ['All is Vanity' -used to freak me out] I love cubism, impressionism, pointillism, well, all sorts of environmental and fantasy interpretations are awesome! Monet, Picasso, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, M.C.Escher... I've always enjoyed drawing, mostly with pen/ink and usually in collage format, but have done some other sketching. I'd love to pursue acrylics, water colors and other mediums at some point, but photography is my main interest. Guess it started with a 35mm Yashica which I bought for about thirty bucks...
